OFFICIAL PRESENTATION AT THE WORLD ELECTRONIC MEDIA FORUM IN GENEVA

The brand new ISAS BC 9001 international standard has been officially presented on the occasion of the World Summit on the Information Society which has been held in Geneva from 9 to 12 December 2003. A special workshop has been organised on the topic "Quality Management in Broadcasting and Internet" with the following panels and speakers:

ISAS DDD KYC 3010 - NEW INTERNATIONAL STANDARD FOR DUE DILIGENCE DUTY IN FINANCIAL MATTERS

The COMPLIANCE LABEL DDD-KYC formalises a system of certification, currently at the draft stage, for financial intermediaries regarding internal due diligence duty in financial matters. This due diligence duty is focused on the Know Your Customer Principle (KYC) in context of the battle against money laundering and terrorism.

ISAS BC 9001 - NEW INTERNATIONAL STANDARD FOR BROADCASTING

The Media and Society Foundation in Geneva cooperated with two other organizations to develop a new international standard for broadcasting: the Canadian-based, not-for-profit World Radio and Television Council (www.wrtvc.org), and ISAS (www.isas.org). 

The result is ISAS BC 9001, dedicated to radio and television broadcasting as well as related Internet content. ISAS BC 9001 was adapted from the well-known ISO 9001 standard, which in less than 10 years has succeeded in certifying 500,000 companies, both public and private, in 160 countries, and which is now recognized as the world reference for management systems.

NEW CERTIFICATION SCHEME AVAILABLE, BASED ON STANDARD ISAS-CQS 2090

Standard ISAS-CQS 2090 permits the formal definition of an operating system in the catering trade (collective, traditional etc.) guided by respect for the normal progression of products. It defines strategies for sale and distribution and a minimum configuration of the layout and management of premises.
